I've bought a Nokia 6210 Navigator [fr], now is the time to get it to work correctly with GNU/Linux
- USB storage to transfer files to the microSD card, using the USB cable provided ok works immediately
- I'd like to access GPS information from my laptop to do
- I suppose I can connect my laptop using USB to get a 3G connection to do
- maybe even send SMS to do
- synchronizing contact ok works with multisynctool after some tweaking
- now my mail contacts are on the mobile phone too /o\ would be a plus to sort this out (for example categories ?)
- synchronizing agenda would be a plus ok, works after tweaking with multisynctool (and adding sync for Agenda in sync parameters of the phone)
- I do not have bluetooth on my laptop, hence I'll only have a look at USB connection for the moment being
Getting Nokia PCSuite functionalities with GNU/Linux
Here's a thread at nokia forum asking for PC Suite on GNU/Linux, containing many useful links- sending SMS to do
- synchronizing notes (ko) & contacts (ok) & agenda (~ok) though ko for tasks
- connecting to GPRS / 3G
Using wammu
See MobileSymbianSynchroWammuUsing opensyncml
See MobileSymbianSynchroOpensyncmlusing obexftp
See MobileSymbianSynchroObexFTP to get valuable information and transfer files (works ok, though a bit limited as I've seen so far)using msynctool
See MobileSymbianSynchroMsynctool which is the one that works best for contacts & agenda synchronization with evolutionUseful links
